When we launched this blog, we demonstrated the usage of our WHOIS tool. Today I want to show you a new simple but effective tool just added in our arsenal: the DNS Lookup Tool.

The DNS Lookup Tool allows you to lookup DNS records for a specific hostname. Simply enter the hostname you want to query, select the DNS record type and press query.

The result page contains the dig-like server response and the list of all DNS records matching your request. For instance, if you want to lookup google.com name servers, the table will list each name server in a separate row.

Internally, RoboDomain has been playing with DNS records since its early version. This tool is the natural evolution, a public interface to let our users perform DNS lookup from a web interface.

We’re still working to integrate our network/dns/domain tools in the main application, and this will happen very soon. Stay tuned!
